WHAT'S BRUIN?
I have a confession to make. Hockey hasn't been my strong point over the years and still really isn't. I understand the game, I watch the game from time to time, but never has it grabbed my full attention until now. Why is this a problem you might ask? The Boston Bruins are on top of the National Hockey League and they are smoking competition to say the least. Yeah, yeah we get it. So what's the big deal? Don't mess it up Boston! Listen, I'm excited about being excited about hockey and frankly, I want it to stay that way. I don't want this to turn into my early for the Boston Red Sox where my ambitions get built up throughout the year and then nothing but disappointment at the end of the year. I haven't really experienced success with the Bruins since I've known what hockey is. I've always thought, hey they can win on NHL '09 so why can't they be successful in real life? Well now they have a great chance but I swear if they find a way to crumble towards they end of the year, I don't know if I can forgive them and the National Hockey League will lose something they can't afford to lose, a fan.
My cousin is a huge hockey/Bruins fan. I've been to a game with him and it was fun, but...
ReplyDeleteI love watching Black Bear Hockey but I don't always understand the rules. It's awesome that there are sports still around where it is legal to body check someone.
ReplyDeleteyou're right, the NHL can't afford to lose a fan! I think that this blog will be great for sports fans who can relate to you, but also offer a different perspective to someone who might not be a huge sports follower.
ReplyDeletethat happened to me over this past world series...i've never really been into baseball...i love watching it there in person, but for some reason baseball on tv is hard for me to watch. anywho, last year during the world series i got all excited for the red sox...for the first time in my life...and thy lost, it was terrible.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy any sport that gives the players ample time to fight with each other in any given game.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be fun if you played around with the formatting a little. Using bold or italics to emphasize words and imbue them with some of the anger you want your readers to feel.
